CONDITIONS OF ENTRY TO THE CAMDEN SHOW
The Showground is an alcohol-free zone. Alcohol may only be legally consumed inside one of the designated bar areas. Alcohol may not be taken out of the bar areas or introduced into the Showground. This applies to Show Society Members, Patrons, Competitors, Showmen, and any other persons who enter the Showground for any reason during the Annual Agricultural Show.
No bicycles, scooters, electric scooters, or other ridden vehicles are permitted on the grounds at any time with the exception of mobility scooters. Drones of all sizes are also not permitted at the Showground due to the proximity to Camden Airport.
Exhibitors, Competitors and Showmen, whether Guild affiliated or independent shall:
- Locate their stand or attraction within the designated space allotted to them by the Show Society.
- Ensure that they do not intrude into adjacent areas or marked roadways.
- Ensure that all electrical extension leads have earth leakage and current valid approval tags All extension leads are to be placed either underground or above reach over head by the Exhibitors and Showmen.
- Promptly remove and dump appropriately any waste products and reuse items during the Show; ensure that their designated area has been properly cleaned and all waste appropriately disposed of at the end of the Show.
- Ensure that all vans, trucks, caravans, and floats are parked in the designated areas. Vehicles found outside the designated areas must be removed immediately at the request of an official of the Show Society.
- Follow all the directives of the Sub Committee Chairmen in charge of Side Shows and Ground Space and Security and Safety.
- Agree to comply with the conditions of the Society’s WH & S Policy that is available at the Show Office.
- Comply with the requirements of the NSW Work Health & Safety Act 2011.
The General Animal Welfare Rules, Regulations and Conditions form part of the Camden Show Society Rules and Regulations and must be adhered to by all those entering the Camden Showground.
A SAFE SHOW BENEFITS EVERYONE
Accident and Public Risk Any accident occurring during the Annual Show, or other function held by the Society, must be reported to the Show Office, AND VERIFIED over the current dates of the Show or other function, otherwise the Society will accept no responsibility for the consideration of any claim. The Society will not be responsible for any accident that may be caused through or by any Exhibitor or Competitor, or as a result of any act of neglect of any Steward or member of the Committee or Public, and it shall be a Condition of Entry that each Exhibitor shall hold the Society harmless and indemnify it against any legal proceedings arising from any such accident, and to agree to all the rules.
Damage to Exhibits The Society will not, under any circumstances, be held responsible for any loss or mis-delivery of Livestock or other Exhibits at the Society’s Exhibition, or for any damage thereto, or loss thereof. The Exhibitor shall be responsible for all of their Exhibits at all times.
Amendments and Alterations to Timetable or Times for Running Events The Society through the Committee, reserves the right to amend or alter the timetable, or the times of running events.
All Protests must be lodged with the Business Manager, in writing and addressed to the Business Manager within a 1/2 hour from the notification of the JUDGE’s award, accompanied by a deposit of $50.00, to be forfeited if dismissed, unless otherwise recommended by the Committee. All protests will be dealt with by Special Committee on the Ground where practical during the currency of the Show or as soon thereafter as can be conveniently arranged. Any person or Exhibit may be disqualified by the Committee for any act or offence contravening the rules, regulations, or Bylaws of the Society. Before imposing any penalty, it is necessary that an opportunity be offered to the accused person or persons on hearing the evidence and cross examining the witness, also of being heard and of adducing evidence. Full and complete notes of such evidence shall be taken in writing and signed by the person or persons adducing same. Immediately after any such inquiry has been held the Business Manager shall give notice to the person or persons, or Exhibitor, against whom or in respect of whose Exhibit the complaint has been made, of the determination of the committee, and if any such Exhibitor or persons gives notice he may appeal to the Board or Appeal the South Coast and Tablelands Show Societies Inc. Such notice shall be given in the prescribed form, delivered personally, or sent by registered post to the last known address.
Any Person Who Desires to Appeal against the decision of the Committee shall within seven days, within the giving of such decision, lodge a notice in writing of such appeal with the Society, together with the sum of $50.00 Appeal Fee. The Business Manager shall thereupon forward such notice of appeal and appeal fee, together with the notes of the evidence of the inquiry to the Secretary of the South Coast and Tablelands Show Societies Inc. The owner of an Exhibit which has been disqualified may appeal under the rules.
After the expiration of seven days from the date of an inquiry resulting in the disqualification of any person or Exhibit the Business Manager shall, where there has been no appeal lodged, forward a notification of such disqualification to the Secretary of the South Coast and Tablelands Show Societies Inc. and the decision of the Committee shall be regarded and take effect in all respects as a decision of the Committee of the South Coast and Tablelands Show Societies Inc. and the disqualification shall be registered in a disqualification register. No person or Exhibit disqualified by any Affiliated Society shall be permitted to enter or be entered for Exhibition at any Show held by this Society.
No responsibility will be accepted by the Society for any Exhibits not collected within four weeks of the conclusion of the Show.
Prize money not claimed within four weeks of the conclusion of the Show will be forfeited.
