BUNNINGS SCHOOLS SCARECROW COMPETITION
Fantastic prizes to be won for your school. Be a vibrant part of the 2024 Camden Show by creating your very own scarecrow with your school. The scarecrows will create a feature display around the education area of the Camden Show. Scarecrows can be as traditional or as imaginative as possible and the competition is open to preschool and primary school groups.

Prizes: Class 1-4 winners will receive an in-school sustainability project from Bunnings Narellan. However, if less than 2 entries only a ribbon & award will be given. Winners are announced at the Entertainment Stage at 11:00 am Friday 15th March 2024. Projects for the winners will be decided upon in consultation with Bunnings Narellan to ensure suitability for the winning school and must be completed within 6 months of the Camden Show.
Conditions of Entry:
- Scarecrows will be judged by Bunnings Narellan on Thursday 14TH March 2024. Winners will be notified by the Show Society on Thursday in order for a representative to be present on Friday morning to receive their award.
- Schools that are return Exhibitors are encouraged to recycle the scarecrow stands that were issued by Camden Show Society for the previous Shows.
- All scarecrows must be freestanding.
- Scarecrows minimum height 1 metre/maximum height 2 metres – to fit within a 1m2 area.
- All scarecrow entries must be able to remain on display outside. They will need to be able to withstand all types of weather conditions and all parts are to be securely attached.
- You may use props or accessories to enhance your scarecrow but please do not use valuables. Camden Show Society will not be responsible for any loss or damage to scarecrows or loss of any accessories.
- Your scarecrow must be ready for display when delivered to the Education Tent.
- Entries are limited to 3 scarecrows per category per school.
- Prize Legend: T = Trophy, S = Sash, R = Ribbon, V = Voucher, P = Prize
DELIVERY
- Wednesday 13TH March 2024 between 3.30 pm – 5:00 pm.
- Scarecrows are to be delivered to the Camden Show Education Tent as above.

COLLECTION
- Scarecrows must be collected on Sunday 17th March 2024 between 9:00 am and 10:00 am only at the Education Tent.
